Gabe Burdulis is a young singer/songwriter based out of Nashville, TN. He was raised in Madison, WI as a self taught multi-instrumentalist. He started playing in bands, writing songs and performing at the age of 12. Burdulis grew up playing the and listening to pop music, although he has been described as a “country John Mayer”.
Growing up, Burdulis played wherever he could, whenever he could, and with whoever he could. This expanded Burdulis’ influences early on as he was playing in a hip-hop, a folk group, and a rock band simultaneously. Gabe had found his deepest passion in performing and in 2012 & 2014 Burdulis formed a band to enter in a statewide band competition called “Launchpad”; He won both years and was awarded the Les Paul Award twice. He was featured on the cover of well known Midwest music magazine, “Maximum Inc.” in 2014 before leaving town.
Burdulis declined a scholarship to Berklee School of Music as a senior in high-school to pursue his dream as a musician, so he moved to Nashville at the age of 18 and began teaching himself the hard way. Recording his first album at the age of 16 with Emmy award winning producer, Scott Lamps, he has released 2 solo albums since. Both records went on to win Madison Area Music Awards the following year and he was recently awarded Male Vocalist and Guitarist of the year for “MAMA’s” in 2015.
As a songwriter Burdulis’ expertise is in love songs. His lyrics and music have been referred to as “a virtual clinic on songwriting expertise” (Rick Tvedt of Local Sounds Magazine) his acoustic songs will hit you straight in the heart and his melodies will leave you wanting more. He often said to have an old soul and through some of his lyrics you might believe it.
Burdulis has toured all over the country and played many iconic rooms such as The Bluebird Cafe (Nashville, TN) Rockwood Music Hall (Manhattan, New York) and The Mint (Los Angeles, CA) as well as hitting major festivals including multiple main-stage shows at Summerfest. He has opened for famous artists like 2 Cellos, Alex Goot and shared the stage with many others as well as hip-hop artist, B.O.B.
Burdulis is currently 1/2 of Chicago based folky/pop duo, FUTURE STUFF with band member Althea Grace. They have played notable venues in Chicago and LA opening for bands like the Black Lilies. They just released their debut album Jan. 1st, 2016 and were immediately featured on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds” playlist which made their song “Act Like You Love Me” an instant hit. Burdulis also plays with a trio simply called, Gabe Burdulis Trio, consisting of grammy-nominated drummer, Joey B. Banks and Conrad St. Clair, which is a more rock’n, lively form of Burdulis’s music where his performance and guitar skills have been best described as “captivating”. The trio has shared the stage at the worlds largest music festival, “Summerfest” with acts like Cheep Trick and Sylvan Esso.
